Objective:

1) Analysing features and trends in schools development and identifying opportunities in the contemporary society and in course specific field (education).

2) Learning from best practice and case-histories.

3) Assisted writing of an effective “School Strategic Planning” having included an “International Plan of Development”

The course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to develop a strategic planning for their own institution (school) in order to manage, organize and coordinate international activities as part of an International Plan of Development.

All participants will be able to realize a draft for a “strategic school planning”, an “International Plan of Development” and a school policy plan on internationalization through international projects (virtual and mobility projects). Participants will also learn how to develop the European and international dimension in the curricula.

Target audience:

School managers, teachers and staff (primary and secondary level); Higher education institution staff; Non-governmental organization staff; Recent graduates; Teachers & school staff: special needs; Company staff; Government & policy makers.

Methodology:

Based on formal, informal and non formal learning, our course methodology will stimulate individual pro-activity, group active participation and individual responsibility for personal and institutional development. Into our course we will use interactive methods, tools and instrument like: team-building and team-working, best practice case-studies; working through projects, practical laboratory, intercultural visits, daily evaluation through self and group assessment.

What is strategic planning, and why should all schools have a strategic plan?
(Where we are now; where do we want to go? how do we get there? in 3, 5, 10, 20 years?)
Individual school Strategic Planning – from “Tomorrow theory to Now practice”
Clear vision; data collection; critical issues identification; strategy chosen; concrete plan of development.
International Dinner Time.

Course Fees

Course fee (5 training days): 480 € (350 € Course + 130 € organization costs)

Amount includes preparation for the course, tuition, training materials, administration costs, organizational costs, half-day excursion in town (no paid entries in Castles, Museums, and events) and coffee-break.

Type of certification of attendance awarded:

Europass and Certificate of attendance with description of training content and time input.
